More accurately, it was “Why do you make enemies?” My father told me this when I was acting like my grandma was my enemy. I was too immature to behave better, but it explains many things today.
My mother once told me, “You don’t need to give anything back to us. You give it to your children.”
I remember my sister tried to ease my feeling when I was in a bad mood. Also, she held her feelings back when I selfishly left home when she needed someone’s help.
Of course, they are not always like saints, but I do think I was meant to have them as a family and I really appreciate that.
